... on the way to Nelson Bay English Tomorrow, I will fly back home to Germany. I will be taken to the airport by an ambulance, fly via Singapore to Frankfurt, and from there, an ambulance will take me to a rehabilitation hospital in the city of Tübingen. I will be accompanied by a German doctor and a German nurse, travelling first class, for the first and most likely only time in my life. The doctor managed it that I don't have to lie on a stretcher, but can sit in a comfortable seat that allows me to lie down if I want to. I was pretty happy about that. The doctor and the nurse will come and see me later on.
I had a couple of pretty nice days during the last week. Scott went flying in Newcastle, so he took me with him, and I had another nice day sitting outside in the sun, on the coast, talking to people. As I said, I'm pretty easy to please at the moment 😉. Adriaan took me to Nelson Bay, which was really beautiful. Nelson Bay is about 40 km from Newcastle, and the bay has a little entrance and stretches far into the country. We

... just beautiful had lunch not far from the beach, and then we went to a lookout that gives a most beautiful view of the bay. When we came back, Adriaan went for a little flight and did a smooth landing on the beach. Craig took me on a little trip to Caves Beach, which is a little south from here. There is a nice walk along the coast that we took. On the way back, Craig had to push me up a really steep hill and did very well.
On Friday morning, I had an appointment at the hospital. Adriaan took me there, and then I had to wait, wait and wait. The doctor had a look at my spinal cord. He felt my back, and then he had some more xrays taken. The woman doing the xrays said that she remembered my pelvis. Apparently she had done the xrays after my operation, which of course I couldn't remember because I had been asleep then. The doctor was happy with the xrays, nothing had moved out of place, and he said I would make a full recovery. I was pretty happy to hear that.
After the appointment, Craig picked me

On Saturday, we celebrated Tinks' and her friend's birthday here at Monica and Scott's house. It was my farewell party, too. It was good to see Wendi and Gary, Dustin, Donny, and Kieran and Kylie again. Later on today, I will meet Adriaan and Donny, and tonight, Camo will be here for dinner. And tomorrow, I will be on my way back home.
