Kingscliff at Kelli's summer house!
Our last day in Australia was very cloudy, but I must admit, this place fascinated me nevertheless!:) In the air (Gold Coast Australia – Kuala Lumpur Malaysia) AirAsia, 2.14 pm
Hello everyone!
Today, 23rd of November our trip to Asia has finally began. At the moment I’ m sitting on an Airasia Airbus A330-300 on my way to Kuala Lumpur. Believe it or not, my experience in Australia has already come to an end. I must admit, it went really fast. I had a really good time while studying in Brisbane, met some nice people that I’m sure I will catch up with once I’ m back in Denmark, some other people disappointed me very much, and some others will remain in my heart..but I know with regret that maybe I’m not going to see them anymore. All the exams have been done (I could add that I have been studying in a good way, so I’m really positive when thinking about the results!) and at this point I could say that I believe that the level of my uni, the Copenhagen Business School is higher as it makes me feel more motivated and challenged. Maybe it’s because I was just an exchange student at the University of Queensland? I guess I will never find
that out…
Yesterday we traveled 3 hours South of Brisbane to reach Kingscliff (New South Wales) where Kelli (my landlord) offered us a room in her summer unit right outside the beach! It was very nice and very kind of her seeing the fact that we flew from the Coolangatta Airport, which was just a 15 minutes drive from there.
We had some spaghetti for dinner and did a lot of washing and went to bed very early in order to be at the airport around 6. I must admit, saying goodbye to my roommates and then Kelli has been a bit hard, as I was used to see them as a small family.
The trip started off in a bit of annoying way for me, since I was only allowed to bring 30 kg but had 36!! (I know my dad will have a laugh at this, since he always complained about me bringing way too many clothes when travelling!) It wasn’ t easy to choose what to throw and what to bring. I had to say goodbye to many creams, some tops, a pair of pants, some books…. Awww Lets admit it, Oliver is a
mmm..?
What a strange jellyfish! guy and well organized and was perfectly equipped, with the perfect number of kilos. But how can they pretend that a girl has less than that when she has been living abroad for 6 months? It was really irritating, I must tell you that, and it affected the first hours of the flight. Now I feel a bit better and can’ t wait to land in Kuala Lumpur. There are 2 hours difference, this means only 6 hours in front when comparing it with all of you. Waw, I’ m getting closer to Europe, now I can feel it!!😊 However, it will still have to wait a bit…We will be in London not before the 2nd of January!😉
When we will arrive in KL I believe we will leave our luggage and start exploring this metropolitan city! I can’ t wait!! Let’s hope I can post this to my blog today, so that you will feel part of this trip right from day 1.
Miss you all.
