You only realise how big a country Australia is when you have to traverse across it quickly, towing a caravan. We drove four solid eight and and a half hour days, stopping at Barkley Homestead, a Road Side Rest area near McKinley, Lara Wetlands (2 nights), Cunnamulla then through to Wellington. It was great to be able to again visit Lara Wetlands and rest up and soak in the hot thermal pools before continuing our long drive south-east. My Dad was out of hospital and at home, and we will stay here as long as is necessary to support my parents.
