Diving and surfing

Well, i got back to the hostel last night and challenged the resident travel agent to find me something amazing to do in byron, that i hadnt already done, couldn't do better or cheaper further up the coast or, shock horror, at home! and was totally cool and amazing. he suggested skydiving...its about twice the price here is in taupo in NZ so that was a no, sea kayaking; i did in Port, surfing was free in port but i should prolly do some proper lessons...Byron is the best place to learn apparently, so booked 2 1/2day lessons for saturday and sunday...and a PADI diver course for today till friday....4 days at the end of which i will be a certified scuba diver...its early starts...8am every day this week but it should be an experience! today certainly was!
Not so keen on my hostel tho...its dirty and it rained heavily last night so the roof leaked...leading tp a wet smelly carpet...yey!
