The beach at Byron Bay
Byron bay is a really nice little town, it is smaller than i expected but it has everything you need and more. Of course the main attraction is the beach and the waves which are great. The first day we got the free bus into town and had a look around the shops and then went up to the beach. The second day Sarah, James and Katie rented out body boards and a surf board. But they found the surf board a bit difficult so they stuck with the body boards. Sarah managed to bash her leg on one of the boards too but they all had a good time while i sat on the beach doing my photography bit - trying to get some action shots. We then went into town after and got enough food to cook dinners and lunch for the rest of our time here. It rained in the afternoon - yes they do have rain over here! So we just chilled out in the tv room watching a film and reading. In the evening we cooked Fajitas - which were lovely. The third day it rained again! So we went into town to use the

internet then spent the majority of the day inside keeping dry in the tv room. We have bought the lonely planet book for New Zealand so i spent a lot of time reading that deciding where i want to go - getting really excited about New Zealand now it sounds amazing!

Oh and there is a hammock outside our room so we all had a go at getting in it - much harder than it looks! Check out the pictures for a laugh! Today is our last day and the sun has come out, so after a lazy morning we came into town for a bit, katie and james have gone to look at the lighthouse while Sarah and I came into the internet cafe. Will probably go to the beach later and make the most of the good weather.
