The Giant Prawn
This is the giant prawn that we passed on our way to surf camp After leaving Byron Bay we had a stop over at surf camp, we went passed The Giant Prawn on the way there. There was a beautiful beach and the others had a surf lesson which they really enjoyed. In the evening we had a nice dinner at surf camp with everyone and just chatted over a few drinks. The next day we were woken up at 6.45 to go for breakfast and get on the bus to drive the 30 minute journey to Coffs Harbour which is home to The Big Banana.
The hostel we stayed at in Coffs Harbour was Barracuda Backpackers and it was really cool, very relaxed and chilled out and they had 2 dogs, a little jack russell cross and an American staffordshire bull terrier - which was gorgeous! It felt really homely because it was only a little place and the big biker bloke who ran it was really nice, we got pay for one night get one night free, and on the first night there was a FREE BBQ with FREE beer!!! It was awesome! We went shopping the first day in Coffs Harbour for some warmer clothes because although it is still
Surf Beach
The gorgeous (practically deserted) beach at surf camp nice and hot in the day, the evenings are getting a bit chilly now especially as we are further down south and it is Autumn over here. Also we will need to warmer clothes in New Zealand where it will be snowing! The second and final day we went to the beach, my parents who have been in Sydney are starting to make their way up north again now and so they are stopped over for a night in Coffs Harbour that night. So they came to see the kind of place we usually stay in and then they took us out for a meal at a chinese meal (bless them), which was really nice. Then we had to say goodbye for the THIRD time - all emotional!

Shrimp
That sucker is huge!! Beach looks lovely, as usual - and chinese food and free beer?! Nice. It's my big ride tomorrow around the island. I'm nervous and looking forward to it all at the same time! Take care, Debs. Love Simon. xx
