After last night's fun festival (like fine backpackers we stood in the car park and listened to some of the bands for free whilst avoiding security) we went for a long walk today along "Clark's Beach" to Cape Byron and up to the lighthouse and most-easterly point of mainland Australia. From there, it is said that around this time of year you can see migrating humpback whales, on their way to Queensland from Antarctica...AND WE DID! TWO OF THEM!! and some dolphins and two turtles. Hopefully we'll be able to post a photo here (which is the real reason for writing this entry).
