Byron Bay

After a five and a half hour journey we finally get to Byron Bay and check into Backpackers by the Beach!

What a great place, I liked it instantly as its very chilled out with a hippy vibe and a beautiful beach and lots and lots of sun! Although there was occasional rain in the evening and we saw a magnificent storm which I have never seen anything like before, I have never seen rain fall so hard!

Me and Lisa got up for the sunset one morning at 5am but its abit like me and the weather, me and sunrises don't seem to get on either and there was only a slight break in the clouds so went straight back to bed!!

We also went on an interseting day trip to Nimbin on the "Happy Bus" which is a funny little place to say the least, again full of hippies and also strange people in funny clothes wandering around trying to sell you bits and pieces!! Never been to Amsterdam but can imagine its similar but a million times smaller!!

I have also fallen in love with body boarding and could be seen many times on the beach getting knocked over by huge waves - quite amusing!(see poser shot attached!)

Next stop - Surfers Paradise hear I come............................................
