Whitsunday's
Arriving in the whitsundays to sunshine Hi all,
Well we woke on Thursday morning, feeling a bit down, until we looked out the window to find this yellow blob radiating a lot of light and heat! Yippee. We wasted no time at all to get down to the Lagoon for our first swim in Airlie Beach.
The following day (again sunny) we were to meet our boat Anaconda 3, for a three day tour around the Whitsundays. We left the dock with champagne in hand, excited about the prospect of the next few days!
We saw some great spots, glorous Whitehaven Beach (It was pretty quiet and secluded which made it all the better)
We saw luncheon bay where we did our first dive on the Whitsunday stretch. The snorkelling here was great, the fish all within touching distance.
The highlight of our trip was our trip to the outer reef, this only happens if it is calm and sunny (after all the rain we didn't expect to do this.) The reef was incredible, the water was so clear. It was a fantastic location to do another dive. It was brilliant, we went through caves and came safely out the otherside! It really was a great dive
Glorious Whitehaven
One of Whitsunday's famous beaches the marine life even came out for the special occasion. We decided to snorkel at this location as well, and we saw a SHARK, but he was catching a few ZZZZ's on the bottom! What a day!
Our last night on the boat gave us all some time for some silly games! Simon (AKA: flexible boy) was fantastic. They had a cereal box (which was placed on the deck) The aim was to pick it off the floor with your teeth. Simon being tall was obviously against him, but the technique took him through. Once everyone had a turn, the box got gradually slower until the box was just a square peice of card on the floor! Simon who got to the last round tryed very hard, but wobbled at the last stage. It was a fun night!
Our next leg of the journey took us to Agnes Water and the town of 1770- this is a very untouristy part of Australia. We landed on our feet with some great accomodation. The washing machine and tumble dryer being the most fantastic thing followed very closely by the double shower!!! NICE- only the best! We spent the afternoon exploring the

Catherine finds nemo, then she finds him again, again and again!! area on our chooper motor bikes! Yes we are officially scotteroos! It was fantastic, especially as I had never really been on a bike, but a superb way to see the area. And a bonus- I never fell off.
The next day started with Simon buying an apple for the surf teacher! We had a lesson at Agnes Water, on Valentines Day! Simon was so lucky! We turned up to be greated by an all girl class! It was a good lesson, and we both did well. But Simon (teachers pet) got a special well done. I think we will be buying boards when we get back.
After washing the whole contents of our bags we left Agnes Water and made our way to Hervey Bay. (One of the places to pick up a tour to Fraser Island (To the locals, Fraser)
We picked up a three day tour with a very popular tour company, only 7 people on this trip! GREAT, our own personal tour of Fraser! For those of you that are not aware Fraser is the worlds biggest Sandpit. The roads are simply sand! The main one is 75 mile beach. We saw some great
Amazing Sunsets
On our cruise around the Whitsundays, we see breathtaking sunsets. areas, most can be seen from the photos. They explain it so much better than I can. It was the best tour we have been on so far, as it was relaxing, no rushing around and a good breakfast!
The next stop along the East Coast was Noosa, another beach town. A great spot for surfing. Our accommodation was perfect, a welcoming free glass of wine, and free surf board hire. What more can we want. We hired two boards and spent the day watching the PRO surfers, while we (OK just me) swallowed water and looked pretty silly. It was quite good fun, but a hard spot. Around this area there are also some great National Parks, the views from the hills over the beach was awsome.
Our next stop was to the hippy town of Byron, it is a popular place for travellers because of the chilled atmosphere. Simon and I felt right at home. We spent the day walking to the most Easterly Point of Austrailia (sounds really far.) It was about 6km in the scorching sun (I am not complaining, it can stay like this) It was a great walk with the lighhouse as

We take our camera swiming to get these pictures! our goal (the top.)
We move on in the morning to Port Macquire, we are not really sure what is there, but a good stop before Sydney. Unfortunately we will be unable to make the 'Gay and Lesbian' festival in Sydney this weekend. (They wouldn't let us in) But we will be there very soon!!!
Hope everyone is well.
Loads of Love
