Found my way out of the city
Only to get Lost in the country

The city of Sydney slipped out from under my feet and the sirens, skyscrapers, and strangers faded into last weekend. Just North of the city I found Oz's calming version of a Yanks New Hampshire- full of outdoor wonder to explore virtually at the cost of nothing. The landscape was full of horses, cows, windy dirt roads and junkyard lawns.

The Blue Mountains National Park had much to offer a group of tourists. The mountains provided an exhausting day of hiking amongst giant waterfalls, luscious bushwalking, miles of stone-chiseled staircases and a 300 metre depth to climb 'in and out' of.

The first stop on the nature walk was the tallest waterfall i've ever seen or climbed on. The farther we went along the path the larger it got still! Until at last I found myself at its base breaking my neck to find the top. Looking up it seemed to go on for miles and refracted sunlight every step of

It's me. And the waterfall is much bigger than that!
the way, truley an awesome sight.

I also had the opportunity to ride the worlds steepest incline tram ride which was just plain fun. It was like a backwards rollercoaster but instead of seeing carnies and screaming children you looked out at the scenery. Similar to the tram was the SkyWay or an XL enclosed gondola to bring you from one side of the mountains to the other.

Those that get to live on the ridges of the blue mountains
• 1. have a prime peice of real estate and
• 2. have to be thankful everyday of the national park which lay in their backyards.

Also while in the blue mountains I had the opportunity to explore the Jenolan Caves wich apparently are world renowned for having some of the most beautiful crystal chambers in the world. I honestly can't say I disagree. Unfortunatley it was at this time that my camera broke and began experienceing difficulties so my documentation is limited. =( Fortunatley I have the memories and limited knowledge of what some of the caves afforded me.

Katoomba Matatta, what a wonderful phrase. Katoomba Australia- it means no wonders for the rest of

wooden nickels?
aboriginals don't have wooden nickels as a currency. instead they prefer to perform on their digeriedoo for tips or hand-carve boomerangs for sale
