22nd Dec 2013.

Yesterday the Dish Lickers (greyhounds) doing trials where we were staying and to be honest I have never been that close up to them racing before. Do they move or what? Almost impossible to get a good photo, but I have attached the best one of a few that I took.

After breakfast we packed up and hit the road early for Alstonville to avoid as much as possible the school holiday traffic on the Highway. We are staying at the Showgrounds with my brother Ray and Christine for a week or so. It is a great spot where we can park and set up the van in a massive undercover shed. (also see photo's).

A very easy and relaxing day we had with a bit of a familiarisation walk around the town and of course the obligatory "happy hour" with Ray and a couple of his friends in the afternoon and then we made home made pizza in the van for dinner.

Great day.
