Can I just say, most Canadians are very friendly and helpful!!

Yesterday's weather forecast was spot on!! We had snow, sleet and rain on our drive to Banff, yet the snow clad mountains were stunning. As we went over one mountain pass the temperature dropped to 1c!!

We stopped off in a small town called Canmore, (good call Sally), as the weather thankfully broke!! We stumbled on a delightful coffee House and indulged ourselves!! 2 Jack's and Minniwanka lakes next, with spectacular views, but not the wild life Sally had predicted.

Banff is correctly termed a polished tourist resort, but we did a 90 minutes walk to, around and back from its centre. Service for the meal tonight in our hotel was very slow, but you still have to tip heavily. Grumble, grumble!!
