Some books are censored from schools to avoid controversy. Also to not allow negative behavior influence the school. Some parents do not want their children reading certain things. I do not believe in books being censored period. I think students can still be able to see or hear the things they block out of books, through TV, radio, songs, movies ect. Students should be able to read anything they choose. Some books can be used for history lessons. For example The Awakening, it can be used in literature lessons or history lesson. It can show how women felt during the time when women wanted a different role in society. I think one argument to have books not censored is to say that students can still get the information through other things such as the media.
