First time in the united states. There was a sign of hope and opportunity. The conditions were slim, working in a sugar factory.

My grandfather attended first year of college in the USA but wasn't able to pay for further education.

My grandfather was married by the third year working for the sugar manufaction company.

He had his first child, my mother, in 1979.

Yes because he was able to attend a year of college here but he wasn't able to finish.

Yes because I am in a familiar place where I can be useful in society.
