Took a trip on the Algieres ferry today to watch the lightning, before we met up with Donald and hit a couple of bars. Went to one called The Abbey, which is apparently where Brad and angalina hang out from time to time. Very gothic type pub but had a great jukebox! Ended up in a superb bar at the corner of Frenchman, lots of great live music, from Tom Waits to an amazing brass band with a suzaphone player!!

Got a cab back to the garden district and had to get up early for the impending 10 hour train ride to Houston.

Spending the day walking around Houston looking for anywhere aircon'd as Texas is hotter than 9 kinds of Hell!
