I love this trip and I love camping - but let me tell you - I hate bugs. Mostly the little ones - that get in your eyes, and that are harder to kill due to size (mosquitoes). I also hate deer and horseflies but at least you can see those coming. TIPS:
1. Don't park your trailer in the mudbog section of the campground. Like we are now. Nice sunset PEI - I'll look at it through my window txs.
2. Deerfly bite through leggings. I looking like a friggin dartboard waist down.
Can someone pls tell me if scratching an itchy bite is ok? Can I take benadryl if I itch all ovah aka multiple bites of various species? The Benadryl bite stick doesn't work. Did it. Tried it. Got the Tshirt. It sucks.
Ok, next campground, we head for the hills - with no trees.
Ok, on a lighter note , Summerside is so cute with great architecture (victorian, gothic and the like) very well preserved too. We're a bit in bible thumper country which is such a contrast to us since we're such hardcore baddasses 😊 Gorgeous weather too. Funny thing about PEI red earth, when it gets wet, you get red water. Obviously you might say but cool when you actually see it.
