Headed to Chicago today. Clearly this stop is for Sydney. Upon arrival in Chicago we do not pass go and our first stop is the American Girl store!!!! Sydney picked out her very first Am Girl doll (We are still waiting for her to choose a "permanent" name, decisions, decisions). After spending 2 hours and an obscene amount of money in the store (Stu & Trevor left for a bit on their own little adventure and who could blame them) we FINALLY head to the hotel where Stu has opted for the "American girl package." Sydney gets to register herself and her new AM Girl doll as guests in the hotel. We are then "whisked" up to our room; when we open the door the bed is turned down complete with chocolates on the pillows, the TV is on and of course it's the Disney channel and awaiting Sydney and yet to be named doll is a welcome letter from a personal shopper at AM Girl store, a bed for her doll, two snack bags: one for her and one for her doll along with a letter from the hotel letting her know that she can choose a movie for her
Day 4 Chicago
Sydney's Catelogue cover on the big screen at the storeand her doll to watch apparently also included in this package. Talk about heaven. She was sooo excited that she could barely contain herself. We did manage to pry her out of the Hotel room to go get some dinner. We went to Gino's East. It was AWESOME! The kids liked it too. Well it's movie time; then off to bed. Headed to Minnesota, Mall of America tomorrow for dinner with a friend and some fun time at the amusement park in the mall. Woo Hoo!
