Day 5

Headed to Minnesota and the Mall of America today. A bit of a drive but looking forward to getting together with a friend for dinner with the fams. We did run into the most traffic by far since the beginning of our trip: chicago to wisconsin, whoda thunk? Not the most exciting drive. Lots & Lots of corn and construction. Finally arrived in Minnesota. GPS couldn't find the hotel, not sure if that was operator error or what but eventually we did find it. Met Heidi and family at the Mall, Haven't seen her in over 20 years. What a beautiful family. Loved catching up with her over dinner at Bubba Gumps - Yeah! After dinner Stu, the kids and I headed to the MOA amusement park. The kids were jazzed! Off to Rapid City, South Dakota for Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorials
