12th June, 2009 Travel to port Townsend, Washington

Big day, up early and on the road by 7.45am, we had decided to travel right through to Port Townsend to put us back on track, to be in Los Angeles by the 8th July, a distance of 371 miles towing a RV.
Through Spokane, Moses Lake, Ellensburg, lunch at Cle Elum, into Seattle and onto Edmonds. This is where it all went wrong, we had been travelling through Seattle on the Motorways which were very busy, listening to the GPS when we started going the wrong way (so I thought), never mind, she knows best, we ended up with the instructions "turn left and get on the Ferry", options weren't great, Ferry signs only had a car price so we thought we were in for another few hours and back tracking through peak hour traffic, some enquiries and we found out we could go by Ferry at a cost of $78 US, on the Ferry and over to Port Ludlow and another 1 1/2 drive to port Townsend. All in all we travelled 11.25 hours, a long day so set up camp, dinner at the local Chinese restaurant and bed.
