Seguin's Historic Central Park, the 'ol Whippin' Tree
Are the legends of Seguin Tx true or just a figment of someone's imagination?
We are setting out to form our own opinion.
Our first stop is "The Whipping Tree" . Strange as it may sound nowadays, the bad guys who showed up in Seguin Tx were given a taste of Frontier Justice once they were caught. Historically speaking there's a remnant of those days on Seguin's Town Square. In one of the trees between the Fountain Plaza in Central Park and the Guadalupe County Courthouse there's a very old ring embedded into said tree, which according to reports was where they tied the criminals to be "whipped". We also checked for any "ghostly" activity from the old days of "the bad guys" who actually received the whippings there.
No activity was reported by Steele!
