Where else can you enjoy the history and beauty of the river and springs and transition to the high tech world of 3D? San Marcos, gateway to the Texas Hill Country offers a multitude of opportunities to venture out on lazy summer days.
We had lunch at the San Marcos River Pub,http://www.riverpubandgrill.com/ . It's
a local favorite offering a view of the locals and tourists splashing, rope swinging, pickin' guitar and tubing in the clear waters of Rio Vista Falls and SM River.
For a change of pace we spent the next 105 min. in the amphitheatre setting at San Marcos Starplex on Wonder World Dr. to enjoy Pixar's latest 3D animated flick. Full of attention-getting special effects, with a healthy dose of life's lessons to be learned, the movie was a welcome escape from the 100+ temps.
