One of the most beautiful little fishing villages we found here was La Conner, Washington. It is reminiscent of Carmel in many ways but set apart by the continuous fishing boats and logging tugs going up and down the river. The seaside shops and restaurants lends an inviting atmosphere to the people visiting here.

There are many farms here. We went to the berry farm and purchased fresh blueberries, blackberries, boysenberries, and raspberries. Of course, we just had to go right home and make a fresh baked berry cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream! Delicious!
