Day 11 - Billings MT - InZane 2017 Day 4

Greetings from Billings Montana for the final day of InZane 2017!
This morning began with Mrs. Alien and I taking what was to be a 200 mile trip to some scenic areas and what turned out to be a very rainy ride to breakfast. Video below.

After returning to the hotel and drying off, we went to the closing ceremonies dinner banquets put on by the VRCC staff. This was a great event with a fantastic dinner of roast beef, chicken, corn, potatoes, rolls, chocolate cake and cherry cheesecake. Yum!
Along with all of the fun awards and raffles, the VRCC presented a check to the Montana Hope Foundation for $9000.00. This was the largest check ever awarded at one of these events. The only downside of this event was the news that two of our members had crashed on Beartooth Pass today due to weather. I was relieved to see them both in attendance and see that they were walking and talking. Luckily this was a minor crash.
When you see a motorcyclist out on the road, instead of thinking about Sons of Anarchy, think about the good that bikers do. We
tend to help those who need help. Might be a good reason to put your damn phone away and let us live, no?
I had a great time at InZane this year and I enjoyed documenting it for all of you. This year was made even better by the presence of Mrs. Alien. I enjoy everything a lot more when she is around. I'm so proud to be a part of this group of riders. We may not agree on much besides what the best bike ever made is, but they are good folks, with the best of motivations. I saw so many of them give until it hurt and then give some more in order to help the Montana Hope Foundation provide wishes to children in need.
Tomorrow begins the journey home. I've enjoyed Montana, but it's time to get back on the road. Of course the journey is only half over and this blog will continue until I reach L.A. Stay tuned!
