It's funny we came to this area to visit Arches National Park which we enjoyed, but Canyonlands National Park took the cake. We actually saw the most beautiful arch here, Mesa Arch. It was a long arch that you were able to walk right up to and touch. It gave a perfect window into the canyon. The park also offered many amazing viewpoints of the canyon. We were recently to the Grand Canyon and this was not as deep but was very unique, this taught us that not all canyons are the same. The views into this canyon showed a lot of plateaus with sheer drop offs. The park offered 23 miles of paved roads with many overlooks and hiking areas.

FYI don't get mislead by the GPS if it tells you to turn down an unpaved road, this route is rough and takes twice as long. About 15 minutes down the road is the main entrance.

Cost: $25 per car load (Free to anyone with National Park Pass)
