May 9—On my first day in Connecticut I got my first look at Long Island Sound in Sherwood Islands State Park. It turned out to be a very foggy day which made for some interesting photos around the park. There were several juniper trees twisted into odd shapes, no doubt from the wind from the Sound. Widowed in 2008, I decided to pursue the dream my husband and I had of traveling. I took to the road in a 24 foot RV and haven't looked back. I had three goals: visit all my numerous cousins, visit all the lower 48 states and complete my bucket list. Lady Slipper

I loved these shy, fragile wildflowers. There were just a few of them along the camp road.

Girl in Butterfly

This cute little girl was at the Arts and Crafts Festival in Rhode Island.

Mr. Goat's Home

I liked this red barn. Each time we drove past it going to and from the camp, the goat was in the doorway.

Clematis

This vine was part of many lovely flowers on the grounds of a house near the camp.

Ook, u can teach us all how to minter angles. Now u will be able to make ur own frames. Would love to have that berry bush. It looked orange on my iPhone or was it red? Thinking about u as u tour the states. Enjoy!!
