This I Believe

I believe that behind ever tension in a relationship lies happiness in the end.

When I was smaller it always seemed like my family was the best of all of the families that I ever witnessed. Family parties, Get together were things I enjoyed when I was a kid. It was then when I was growing up and becoming a young adult that behind every house party or family get together there was always tension in my family. Whether it was my dad’s family or my mom’s family, there always seemed to be tension. Of course as a child no one would look upon those things at least I didn't. When I did notice something was wrong I would push it to the side and go on my merry way. It would always be there in the back of my head. One thing that hit me as I was growing up was the relationship between my mother and father. I thought that the tension between them wasn't as bad as I had expected in fact it hurt me and my sister’s relationship with my father. It hurts me to see that things ended up like this, the way my sisters react when my dad’s home. I even get upset the fact that when I had found this out it affected me the most. I had this hatred towards my father greater than that of all of my sisters. I haven't told anyone how I feel about this towards neither my father nor my sisters. I still feel like it isn't the right time to do so. Several of my friends have told me to "tell him how it is, now don't wait." or sometimes tell me to forget about it all together. Even when i try to confront him I always fail. At times when I don't know what to do I listen to music to help me, on what exactly to do. It might be odd but it works at times.So far the relationship between me and my father is clearing up and I hope this clearing lasts because its no fun losing someone you love.
