1.) The origins of the recipe is Italian.

2.) My family does identify ourselves with this recipe because we make it for everything. My dad makes it for parties, christmas, new years eve, easter, and sometimes regularly for dinner during the week. It is easy and a simple Italian dish that my family and I enjoy.

3.) Yes, I do think people should have other kinds of food available to them. It's important to explore different cultural foods and be open to trying new things. Just sticking to food that is often served in your family can get boring and is stopping you from trying new things.

4.) I do think food is important to one's culture. Indian and Chinese culture is going to have different food dishes than Mexican or Italian dishes. Food distinguishes and sets apart each culture by its spices, flavors, portion sizes, etc. used.
