Roman Eating Habits:
BREAKFAST (jentaculum):
- Master bedroom
- Slice of bread with dates and honey
* wine
LUNCH (prandium):
- 11:00am
- bread
- cheese
- possibly meat
DINNER (Cena):
-Late afternoon, early evening
- 1 hour with no guest
- 4 hours with guest
SUPPER:
- before going to bed
- bread and fruit
* Romans were NOT big meat eaters
* doggy bags {good meal}
* sauces (Garum) {exciting}
- fish waste mixed with salt water, left for weeks.
*food was mostly fried with olive oil or boiled.
