* Christmas of course! Especially Mom's pumpkin cranberry bread

First stop, Christmas in Washington DC where the main goal was to see Christina's family. So we had an early Christmas, tree trimming and gift exchanging, why not. Dave and Lionel ventured out for a walk by the white house and monuments on the mall. But mostly we stuffed our faces. Can't go to Arlington without stopping at the Silver Diner for breakfast while listening to the juke box.

Next stop, Nashville Tennessee for one night. It's not a very big place, so one night was ok. We bar hopped listening to live music, blues, country and blue grass, and drank a few micro-brewed beers like Fat Tire.

Last stop, California. We had breakfast on the water in Long Beach on our way to San Diego where we stayed in the Old Town one night and La Jolla the next,　one extreme to the

other. While in La Jolla, we took a cycle and kyak tour and window shopped the galleries at night. Last night was back in LA for dinner with Christina's cousin John and his daughter Niki. Brilliant.
