Day 1

New Suffolk, New York --> Winchester, Virginia

Packed up the Yaris and began the journey. Long Island Expressway -> Brooklyn Queens Expressway -> 278 -> 78 -> 81 -> Exit 315 in Winchester.

Spent the night at Uncle Louis & Aunt Carla's, my dad's sister who we haven't seen in 6 years. Rocked some Guitar Hero with my 10 yr. old cousin.. haven't seen her since she was 4. She's AWESOME. I want to be her friend, lol.

Some highlights from the road:

3:04pm; DAD:

I drive with my brain, not with my eyes.

--> Oh boy... that's comforting.

Sonoco Lady in Pennsylvania:

"Georgia's South, right?

--> Is there intelligent life-form out here?

Sitting next to the fireplace now, drinking a White Russian. Will post more at the next stop. Miss you all terribly. Keep it real, hold it down out there.

Okay now when you hit a whirl wind in Kansas, hold on to your ass, its a tornado...............there is some real flat land out there. Drive safe, don't pick up any stay cows on harleys.......oh one can hallucinate while driving flat for too long. Get out and jump.
