well you know what i did by now so here's some pictures to look at of our roadtrip across the US which led me here to california!
leaving lancaster
the arch in st. louis
alexe and i at the arch
cadillac ranch outside amarillo, texas
small indian village outside alberquerque, new mexico
our travelling buddy "babydeer" at the continental divide marker
sunset over the indian reservation in new mexico
look at me! i'm in colorado, utah, new mexico and arizona!
alexe in all four states at once!
entering the grand canyon national park
the hoover dam
me in front of the bellagio hotel in las vegas, no this is not where we stayed, our hotel was the casino royale which was not worthy of any pictures since it stood only 4 stories tall, but the bellagio is where the
big waterfall/light show takes place every hour, unfortunately we missed this which was the one thing we really wanted to see in vegas because it was "too windy"
let's welcome amy to the great state of california!
let's go ahead and welcome alexe to california as well!
Welcome to Death Valley National Park, please note that this national park is the largest in the united states excluding some park in alaska. the tallest peak is mt. whitney which is at 14,000 some feet and the valley goes 282 ft. below sea level at badwater basin. if you've never been, then u must visit!!
looking down from mt. whitney into the valley, and no that's not water, it's cyristalized salt
alexe and i at the bottom
if you look really close, you can see the small sign in the middle of the mountain that shows where sea level is, look close!
we made it! looking at the pacific ocean from manhattan beach pier!
and last but not least, we ventured through LA and found the hollywood sign 😊
and finally we made sure we got a picture of each state sign that we passed, and technically even though there's only 10, we were in 12 states but the four corners did not provide state welcoming signs for any of the states you were actually in, at least not officially, i'm sure they think the little monument telling which state you're standing in qualifies, but that's not good enough for my sign collage!
