Another full day in the fresh air of Yellowstone.

As usual we tried to do it all, and did much, but we abandoned some of the plans as the day raced by. It started cool and cloudy but it soon cleared off and warmed up. We did the circle at the “Grand Canyon” Yellowstone – stopping at almost every site for gorgeous views of the 300’ tall and 100’ tall 2 falls. We had lunch at one place, the kids sitting in the back of the truck. We found a NEW BIRD – a CLARK’S NUTCRACKER – aha!

Headed off north, intending to see the wolves and bears of the Lamar Valley, but just ran out of time and steam. We did stop for a short hike at the Sheepeater Cliffs with their unusually shaped formations, where we espied a marmot, and saw the Obsidian cliff (black glass shining in the rocks). The bison were slowly crossing the road as we returned home.

A lovely dinner of jerk chicken and great corn on the cob, another time around the firepit and we’re going to fall exhausted into our beds!
