2012 Yellowstone Trip - Day 9

Day 9 - Sunday August 26, 2012

After checking out of the hotel, we had breakfast at Bubba's Bar-b-que. They served a good breakfast with reasonable prices. We left Jackson, drove back to Yellowstone. We went out the east entrance of Yellowstone heading toward Cody. We stopped in Cody for lunch then headed on out of town. They have a Buffalo Bill museum there which I have heard is a great museum, however we didn't have time to stop. Mama had already been there several year ago with Daddy. We stopped at the Buffalo Bill Dam just outside of town. It was built in 1910. They had a film about the constructions of the dam in the visitor center. You can walk out over the top of it. It is free but they do accept donations.

We then headed toward Sheridan by way of the Bighorn Sheep scenic drive. It was so pretty. Wyoming has so many great scenic drives. We spent the night in Sheridan at the Best Western. After checking in the hotel, we went to Subway for supper. We were talking to the employees there and out of the 3 working 2 of them were also from Texas.

Pull off before you get to Yellowstone. A man had climbed down to the river and was fishing. His girlfriend was in their truck and told us she didn't know how he was going to get back up. It was very steep and a long ways down to the river.
