Cheyenne to Hardin, MT
A beautiful day in the western US. The morning dawned clear and cool and we got underway at around 0830. Light traffic, rolling hills and a memory of a nice group of people at the Flying J while filling up. In fact, you have to thank the Nebraskans for their positive outlook on life. Flying J is going through corporate computer challenges in their merger with Pilot and it makes customer relations a piece of work.
We again saw full rivers, creeks and ponds and non moving power generating windmills. Stopping at Hardin, MT in a nice commercial campground we participated in an ice cream social with accompanied conversation about traveling and local activities. We learned that the local Flying J had a problem last week with contaminated fuel and that we were lucky to be traveling this week rather than 6 weeks ago when I 90 was flooded and closed! The local campground owner gave us directions to Grand Forks that would avoid the water so we're looking for an early departure.
