Potholes
Small potholes below O'Sullivan Dam. Potholes... depressions in the ground filled with water. In this case I'm referring to the Potholes Lakes of central Washington. When O'Sullivan Dam was built, Potholes Reservoir was created behind the dam and many small potholes "lakes" were created when the water table rose. The dam is 3.5 miles long - the longest earthen dam in the United States. The reservoir is huge (23,000 surface acres)and is very popular for all water sports. Potholes State Park is on the edge of the reservoir and is a beautiful park with a boat launch area, day use, and very nice (big rig friendly) rv spaces.
We stayed at O'Sullivan's Sportsman Resort across the street from the state park... a very nice spot to spend a week (5/12-5/19). After baking in the Arizona sun for over a month, the green, the trees, the shade, and even a little rain have been a very pleasant change. We played 9 holes of golf at Royal City Municipal Course ($12.00) twice during our one week stay. On Mondays and Tuesdays you can play all day for $10.00. It's a very nice, hilly, lush, green 9 hole course. Challenging. Neither one of us had a round to

This is the view out our front window. So green! be proud of!
On May 19th we moved to Soap Lake - about a 45 mile drive. Not a big travel day! From here we are exploring the Coulee Corridor and the towns of Moses Lake, Soap Lake, Ephrata, and Coulee City. We'll be here until June 1st when we go into Spokane RV & Golf Resort in Deer Park for the next 4 months.
