Returning to the Northwest in July of 2008 we were determined to do a different hike every week. We came real close to our goal! Here are some of the hikes we found memorable. Don and Cathi, friends from Verrado, joined us on a couple hikes when they came for a visit in September.

We joined our friends Gary and Sandy for a very peaceful day on the lake. It was so quite and so peaceful.

Hikes.
You have some great pics there. I am from Scotland and there are some beautiful hikes here. I did the West Highland Way which is 95 miles long. Leaving the city of Glasgow all the way into the countryside passing Loch Lomond, which I live near, then into the mountains till you finish at Fort William. If you get the chance, you need to do it. I work in upstate NY in the summer and there are some great hikes there too. I work near Lake George, its a place that is steeped in history and seems to be overlooked by tourists except american but they are all mainly from the city of NY. So if your looking for more then the Lake George area is stunning. Safe travels.
