Robyn and I drove up to visit Joe on Whidbey Island today. It was really nice to get out of rainy Seattle.

Up on Whidbey the sun was out and birds were singing.

We stopped at Ivars for some fish and chips before taking the ferry accross. Seeing this place brings back memories of shooting "Sweet Thing". www.sweetthingthemovie.com

Robyn and I met up with Joe and we drove up to Fort Casey for some fun. We even got to go in the Switchboard which is a roundabout fort part that's never open where the soldiers would make their last stand if necessary.

Joe's grandmother was in ill-health, so we cut our trip a bit short and took him over to see her.

A beautiful day spent with Robyn and Joe on Whidbey (the island where I will some day retire).
