Vancouver

Hi Sorry entries have been slow but we have been at sea & we couldn't get internet very well , but back on line now.
We have had 5 great days in Vancouver such a pretty place beautiful gardens every
where with a back drop of snow coveered mountains. First day we went for a walk along the waterfront which was just wonderful everywhere you look ... We love Vancouver , then caught a pink double decker bus that took us around to see Vancouver we got off & caught a ferry to Granville Island where they have a huge market place , the ferry is so tiny it only holds about 12 people ... very cute ...
Next day we went to Grouse mountain caught a cable car to the top , it was covered in snow , very pretty we saw some wolves there , they also have 2 bears but they were just coming out of hibernation so we didn't see them. Then we travelled back down the mountain to a suspension bridge it is about half a KM long when you got to the other side it had walk ways up in the tree tops some of the trees were hundreds of years old ... it was fantastic. this was one of our few days of rain we were soaked thru but it didn't matter still really enjoyed it.
The following day we went up to Whistler , weather was good today , the driver stopped along the way to show us different views & watwrfallls. Still snow on the ground & of coarse snow ball fights , we could hear bears in the bush but didn;t see any. Whistler was worth the trip it is just like a postcard with its beauty. on our bus we only had 7 people & they were all from Sydney Australia & at Whistler our Waitress was from Woolongong how funny is that. on the way home we saw a bear & Eagles flying around so the driver stopped so we could take photos.
Another beautiful place here is Stanley park it is 3 times bigger than New Yorks central park we really enjoyed it.
Tomorrow we board our Alaskan cruise , we are really looking forward to it .... luv to all Debbie & Ross xxx
