We were all a little subdued during the ride home. I know Anna was none-too-happy to be coming home, essentially, to begin school. That disappointment was compounded by the fact that Chip would not be home when we got there. She had been looking at pictures of him throughout our trip and was really missing him.
Things were in order in the house, and my jerry-rigged timed sprinkler had worked in our absence and managed to keep my tomato plants alive while we were gone. It was obvious it hadn't rained, and the grass showed it, but by-God we've got tomatoes!
It was still early enough to unpack and even begin laundry, but we were all in bed by 8:00pm, as all three of us were working the next day...well, Anna didn't have to work until 5:00pm, but she probably had it hardest as she had to say up later.
Another great trip that went by far too quickly!
