Heatwave and Showers

Aside from audible groans from all three of us as we stepped outside and
met the reality of a late-summer heatwave in Washington, we had no complaints as our
taxi dropped us at home minutes before the skies opened. We literally had lifted the final suitcase onto the porch when the rain started and the same storms we'd just flown around finally arrived.

We all had enough energy to go through accumulated mail and peek at e-mail, but that was about it before we all headed for bed.
