Canyonlands in Utah
Colorado River winds through the park We’ve been without internet access for almost 2 weeks, so we apologize for keeping you in the dark concerning our whereabouts. Anyway, we’ve been visiting national parks and monuments like crazy. After leaving Colorado, we headed into Moab, Utah, on 09/19 to visit Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. The beauty of the canyons and monuments are just amazing, with the effects of water and wind over millions of years. The pictures tell the story here. If you get the chance to visit these places, do it!
Next, we headed down to just outside Zion National Park in southwest Utah for the Marathon Rally. A group of 50+ Marathon Coach Club owners met for a 5-day rally which included some great happy hours and catered meals in a large tent, trip into Zion National Park, bus ride to Bryce Canyon National Park, karaoke night, local theater trip, golf for some, an ATV team race, and farewell dinner at a great local restaurant. We even took a CPR/AED class. Hope we never have to use it!
After the rally, we drove southeast into Arizona and visited the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The views are just as spectacular as those

Hiking in Canyonlands - Alan, Jim, Chris on the South Rim, if not more so. We hiked one of the trails, saw lots of deer in the late afternoon, and made campfires in the evenings. The nights were chilly with the sky full of stars.
The next leg took us northeast to the Glen Canyon Dam and magnificent Lake Powell. Will post those pictures on the next installment!
