Mormon Tabernacle
We missed choir practice by a couple of hours. Sorry for the delay, we have been traveling a lot and just kept forgetting to update😊
We stopped in Salty Lake City, Utah to visit with Joe (Gumby). We found that Salt Lake is beautiful, but boring. We went to Temple Square, home of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The buildings, gardens and fountains in the square were beautiful. Unfortunately Salt Lake is also unentertaining. We did have a nice visit with Joe but there wasn't much to do in the city. The surrounding mountains are good for hiking and biking but that's it for excitement.
Next stop was Arches National Park in southeast Utah. It was very hot, but the campground was nice. The only surprise happened at night was when we were hit both nights by sandstorms. The first night we did not stake the tent and woke up and the tent had move 4 ft and we were lifted off the ground on the air mattress. Also there was dirt coming in the screen and just covering us a with a thin layer. Those nights were the first time we had to abandon the tent and sleep in the truck where we didn't quite fit. Arches was
