I'm pretty much a day behind myself, reception is poor out here. Thanks for reading! 😊 So here goes...

We pulled into caprock canyons sp at dusk, got our camper set up before it got too dark. In the morning we saw bison hoof prints outside our camper door! How cool is that!?!
We ventured out first thing to do a morning hike, hoping to see roadrunners, none appeared, but we did come across bison! We literally were following their path, guess they like to go on trail hikes too! It was a canyon rim trail so we had lots of photo opportunities along the way. Coming back, we accidentally followed an animal trail, it was the most direct, which also put us walking by the bison again. They have a 100head out here, it's the Texas state bison herd, the last remaining gene pool of the southern plains bison. As we neared our camping loop, there was a small herd across from the bathrooms, along with a whole prairie dog town! So cool!

After lunch we started our geocaching and hiked along the other canyon rim, Philip saw a roadrunner on our drive to the trail head!
Just the drive around the park was beautiful! It feels like we're in another world!
