Day 2

May 2^nd. We were directed to Del Tex RV services on the west side of Del Rio for temporary repairs and were on the road by late morning the next day. The service there was superior. Much work remains to be done when we return to San Antonio and we have advised our insurance company that the incident is not yet closed. We spent the day bucking strong headwinds and got the poorest mileage we expect to get anytime during the trip. We finally made camp at Marathon, TX at the Marathon Motel and RV Park after travelling about 179 additional miles. The first two days distance has been disappointing due to the time lost because of the tire failure.
