Today our plans were to spend the day in Austin. We got a late start on the day because we were tired from yesterday. Our plan was to start the day out with a tour of the State Capitol, however the light to have my oil changed came on while we were driving to Austin so plans had to change. I had intended to have the oil change before we left on the trip but I didn’t have time. Since we were almost into Austin, I found a Honda dealership and had the oil changed. I knew we would be doing a lot of driving on the rest of this trip seeing the scenery and thought it was best to have it done while I had a place available.
This put us so late in the day we skipped the tour of the Capitol since we had both already been there in the past. Instead, we headed to the LBJ Library which was new to both of us. We got lucky because they had free admission for everyone today for veteran’s day. It was interesting how the library makes Johnson look

When we left the LBJ Library we headed back to New Braunfels. We wanted to eat at Oma’s Haus, which is a German restaurant. About 15 or 20 years ago, I had worked in New Braunfels for a couple of months and mama and daddy had come down to visit. We had eaten at this restaurant then and mama really liked it. The food was still real good.
A cold front came through here this morning and it has been cold today. At least though it has been warmer than at home and the sun has been shining!! It was in the low 50s here and in the 40s at home.
