Miles and miles of ranchland is the best way to describe the trip across New Mexico and Texas. Much of the land is not very useful except for ranching. Also saw another windmill farm in Texas. Amarillo is an old ranching town with a number of very nice historic homes in the Polk Street District. Many of these belonged to ranchers in the early 1900's. We also discovered that the second largest cavern in the US (Palo Duro) is located about 30 minutes from town. As you can see by the sign, Texans have big appetites. We ate somewhat more conservatively at the Texas Roadhouse although the meal was still larger than we could finish. Tomorrow we are off to Oklahoma.
