Driving through Texas takes LOTS of time. It's a whole different country, you know. Saw our first few tumble weeds blowing across the highway...and our last few "Stukey's" road stops... We made it into Amarillo pretty late (past sundown!) after our exciting afternoon stop at the Whitesboro farm. Making this day the longest of our drives so far...about 9 hours total!
No swimming was going to happen this evening...doctor's orders...you can't get stitches wet!
Instead, the girls worked the "claw" machine at the arcade:-) Nice to have Grandma along to bankroll that outing!
Got up early and headed for Santa Fe, New Mexico!
