Nashville

Tennessee --> Arkansas

Woke up in Knoxville, TN this morning around 7am. Grabbed some free Super 8 breakfast and hit the road. We started off on Route 40 today, and began heading west, finally, for the first time. Stopped in Nashville, Memphis, and ended up in Little Rock, Arkansas for the night.

Today's quote:

On the phone with Jeff, finally got to the hotel.. a little cracked out from not enough sleep and far too much coffee... picking the weeds out of the cracks in the sidewalk...

Jeff:

What are you doing?

Me:

Weeding...

Jeff:

...?

Me:

When in doubt, start weeding

The road might be getting to me a little, lol.

Nashville was a pretty sweet city. Right on a river, lots of places to eat/drink, lots of little shops. Everything had a country theme going on, supposedly it's like the birthplace of country music or something. It was pretty cool. Every store sold boots and cowboy hats lol, and all the bars had country music playing. We ate at this BOMBBB crab shack. The food was seriously amazing anddd the mudslides were deliciousss!

Memphis was kind of the same sort of deal. The whole city has a theme but it was more oriented to rock and blues. Unlike the other two cities though it was a lot more.. hood. lol. But still a fun place to check out.

So we walked around for about a half hour and hit the road again. Pretty much as soon as we left memphis we saw the "Welcome to Akansas" sign, and Little Rock was about two hours from there. So here we are now at the Days Inn. I bargained the lady down to a mangers' special price, heh 😊

Listening to Dad snore now, chillin out in the room. Kinda wanna go check out some bars but we are both soooo shot from all the driving. Lots of yawning all day today. Oh well, I guess some relaxation is in order. Peaceout everyone, hugs and kisses for you all! <3
