Heidi: Christmas Eve Day 2

Well, as you can read on Cindy's posting, we are in South Dakota. We crossed the Mississippi and the Missouri Rivers today. We are about 75 miles away from the time zone change. Hopefully, we can get an earlier start tommorrow and maybe drive about 650 miles into the mountains........ 😊

We are staying at a Comfort Inn again. We have a suite room and it is nice with a microwave and fridge, but no couch. We do sorta feel like we are in "The Shining" movie cause I think we are the only hotel guests !!!! It feels real deserted and the hotel managers live in one of the rooms...........they have a dog. I just hope they don't have a toddler with a bike. LOL !! The Days Inn across the road is closed......it's all dark...weird.

I hope we find places to eat tommorrow and get a room ..........

this was a crazy scene......cars spun out on both sides of the freeway......firetrucks and police were on scene however, didn't look like anyone was hurt

looking kinda bleak
might be time to start looking for a place to stop for the night
