Welcome to Oklahoma
We were doing great beautiful day awesome road. Highway 9 is fantastic. Doug do you see that black cloud over there? What about that big white cloud over there? Oh my look at that White cloud, it is rolling at the top like "Pipe Line" does in Hawaii. Do you think that will become a storm?

We decided to gas up if it is a thunderstorm or ? we better have a full tank of gas.

It is getting pretty dark and the two clouds seem to be getting close together. That is how tornadoes form. Doug says we can out run this lets get going now. Hmmmm getting really windy now and darker. It's ok the road is starting to turn in another direction we will be ok, says Doug. I don't think we are going to be able to out run it after all look for a place to pull over with shelter. It is so windy now the bike is being tossed from side to side with winds going in both directions. Look over there it is an old deserted gas station. We pull up where there used to be gas pumps and the top is

still there. The store is still there but closed on Monday. Perfect protection. Wind is blowing really hard now but bike seems to be ok. We cover it up and go stand under the porch of the store. By the way the roof is tin .... Thunder and lightening all around now the two clouds decided to colide. The sky opened up and down came the rain and some hail. We are ok at least dry. All of sudden this humming bird decides that I am too close to his feeder and he starts dive bombing us. He zooms pass and comes back and starts to screech at us. Wow, I didn't know humming birds could scream. The rain seems to be slowing now so we take the cover off the bike and decide to go on down the road because it looks like there is another storm coming behind the one that was just here.

We must be traveling too fast because we seem to be catching the storm it is getting really windy again so we slow down .... not working decide it is time to give it up and look for a motel for the night.

Later that evening we heard that the two storms colided and dropped golf ball size hail just south of us.
